Reviews
The front cover is glossy, dark and gorgeous. Inside there is a decent amount of concept art but most of it is shrunk to minute sizes. The in-game models for characters and monsters are what stand out, being given, for the most part, whole pages for you to admire them on. I found this a tad redundant as the game itself has a model viewing option where you can see these figures and rotate them 360 degrees. There is commentary from the artists, which is always interesting, and some of the most intriguing bits are in the environment chapters. Huge portions of level concepts were unused, and some of these are brilliant. On the whole, a fine, well put together piece of work. Just don't expect a lot of large drawings of characters and creatures. Or cool full page paintings of game situations (there are a few of them in the front). Most of the real estate is taken up by images of in-game CGI models.
