A facsimile edition of the 1923 Malik-Verlag original edition, with an introduction by Henry Miller added. These 100 satirical drawings, 84 in black and white and 16 in color, depict the social dissolution in Germany between World War I and the advent of Hitler. One critic, on seeing Grosz' work, noted "There was no excuse to say later that we did not know what was happening." Two duplicate color plates loosely inserted.
